Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to the questions organisations ask us most, covering data sources, products, security accreditations, pricing and how to get started.

Products & Data

We work with five principal UK sources: BT OSIS, the edited Electoral Register, Companies House, credit bureau data and Land Registry records covering England and Wales. Each is licensed directly, and we know the origin of any record we return.

These sources sit behind every Simunix product, from directory and address-history searches on ukphonebook.com to the multi-source verification checks run by our KYC platform.

ORBIS is a browser-based investigation and company intelligence platform for research and investigation teams. It brings together Companies House records covering more than 24 company types, director information, company credit reports and Land Registry data for England and Wales in a single interface.

The Simunix API delivers the same UK data through a single REST integration, with more than 50 methods returning JSON or XML and typical response times under 250 milliseconds.

Yes. Our KYC product checks an individual against multiple UK data sources and returns a verification score between 0 and 100, with PEP, sanctions and adverse media screening included, alongside identity and bereavement checks.

Document verification is available where your process requires it, and every check generates an audit trail and a downloadable PDF report.

Yes. PRISM-X is our rules-based risk orchestration and decisioning platform, scoring activity in real time against thresholds your team configures and routing cases according to playbooks you define.

Case management is included, and the platform is designed to run alongside our verification and data products.

Security & Compliance

Yes, Simunix is certified to ISO 27001. We also hold Cyber Essentials Plus, comply with PCI DSS and hold Crown Commercial Service supplier approval.

Full details of each accreditation are published in our Trust Centre.

Working With Us

Yes. The Simunix API has a free sandbox where you can build and test your integration before any commercial commitment, with responses in JSON or XML.

Trials of ORBIS and our other platforms depend on your use case, and the team can arrange one through the contact page.

API usage is priced on a credit basis, and some rates are published openly: data enrichment starts at 4p per record and TPS checking at 80p per thousand numbers.

Beyond those, pricing depends on the products you need and your volumes, and the quickest route to a quote is through the contact page.

Yes. Our Crown Commercial Service approval covers procurement by central government and the wider public sector.

Police forces across the UK already work with our data, as do major financial institutions in the private sector.

The API is a single REST integration, and the free sandbox means development work can begin straight away.

Timelines for full deployments vary with your use case and the products involved, and the team will map a realistic plan with you.
